The new CEO of a large regional health system identified the need to elevate the performance of the health system’s finance function

ACTIVITIES & RESULTS

Evaluated the current state of the finance function (financial planning, financial reporting, financial analysis and decision support, cost accounting, treasury, debt management and performance monitoring)

Recommendations for improvement included changes to processes in financial reporting and financial planning, realignment of reporting relationships within finance, new technology acquisition supporting cost accounting and decision support, and enhancements in management reporting for decision making purposes
